The first decade of the 21st century draws to an end when the small state of Serbia all of a sudden turns into a sizzling hotspot of the Trance scene. Among the major reasons being Sideform: Drasko Radovanovic and Milos Modrinic from Belgrade give an exciting new spin to Progressive Trance, breaking truly new grounds in terms of sound. A change many lovers of the genre have been waiting for eagerly, as the considerable international success of their project proves!
The live sets of Drasko and Milos put their audience in a rousing state of tension between Progressive Trance and Psytrance. Fuelled by two creative minds and their different, yet complementary ideas, this is another main feature of Sideform: A sound that is unpredictable, full of stimulating surprises, but at the same time highly consistent and smooth. The testament to that is parties and festivals they played on all four corners of the earth. Join them for an unforgettable journey!
MAKIDA
MAKIDA are Milos Modrinic (a.k.a. Copycat and member of Sideform project) and Nikola Peric (a.k.a. Fiction), both from Belgrade,Serbia. These two producers met at audio-engineering school in 2006 and with mutual music interests finally started to produce together in 2013. Their music can be described as pure psychedelic trance with driving bass-lines, screaming leads and atmospheric textures followed by strong groove and rhythm, which combined together create the trademark style of MAKIDA. In 2014 they joined 24/7 records by releasing their debut EP called “Knowledge” and in November same year, Nikola and Milos released their first full-length album “Measure of Reality”.
Many other releases followed such as “Realm Of Intelligence” and “Temple Of Elohi” EPs, singles, remixes etc.
In December 2016 their second studio album goes out, “The Fractal Phenomena” and becomes an instant hit around the world.
Makida’s fan base is getting bigger and stronger every day and their music is reaching top spots on PsyTrance charts with every new release.
RELATIV
The productions of Drasko Radovanovic from Belgrade, Serbia, can
best be described as absolute: Absolute powerful, absolute danceable,
absolute psychedelic and absolute progressive. Within no time his project
Relativ became a constant of quality in the global Trance formula.
Already the very first release of Relativ is picked by DJ legend John OO Fleming for his mixes, the next two tracks can be heard in the sets of Paul Oakenfold during the year 2012. Quite obviously there is a considerable amount of talent involved in this project. It is a talent that gives expression to Drasko’s enthusiasm for the Trance scene, growing since 2000. Yet there is even more to the sound of Relativ than great ideas: Its outstanding production quality. Thanks to a professional audio engineer training the Serbian producer is capable of transcribing his colourful imagination into music of dazzling vividness.
Exploring the depths of Psytrance, just to shoot up straight into the uplifting heights of powerful Progressive Trance, Relativ takes his listeners on a surreal journey full of mind-bending turns. This frequently happens live in various scene hot spots, like Switzerland or Brazil for instance. It also happens in form of Relativ’s busy release schedule: Besides working industriously on a debut album for 2014, Drasko is also well-known as one half of Sideform, and last but not least there is a Tech-oriented project Avax.
Whenever the complex equation of party includes the music of Relativ, there is a very good chance that it will solve… with a simple result: Absolute euphoria!
